Shane Baeuerlen is an indigenous Yoeme island photographer in the Pacific Ocean. Currently, he is shooting from Hawai'i and Tahiti; he lives near Saigon, Vietnam. He was born in California but has since lived in Japan for eight years and the islands of Polynesia(Tahiti, Maui, Oahu) for seven years. In 2003, he was the first on both sides of family to graduate from a 4-year university with a BA in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Theatre Arts from CSU, Sacramento in California. His passion for island life and the ocean are inspirations for his photography.
